Mask Policy

As our safety checks and the nature of our rides may not allow for guests and staff to self distance, guests and staff will be required to wear a mask while loading, riding, and unloading all of the rides, for the entire duration of the ride. While areas within the park allow for physical distancing, it is recommended that guests wear masks throughout their stay. Hand sanitizer is available in multiple locations to assist with proper donning and doffing of masks. Children who are too young to wear a mask, ie children under 36″, or who are unable to remove the mask without assistance, and those with medical reasons, will not be required to wear a mask. Staff will be trained in the proper procedures for donning and doffing non-medical masks.

2020 Ticketing Procedures

For 2020, in order to keep our guests and staff safe, we are limiting capacity in the park.

In order to manage the number of guests in the park at a time, we are requiring our guests to purchase their passes in advance for the day or evening they wish to visit. This will also allow us to have a record of the contact information for all the purchasers in the event that contract tracing is required.

When purchasing your passes, you’ll be directed to pick a day and time your passes will be valid for. Due to the capacity restraints and changes in operational days we are not able to offer weekly or season passes this year.

We are changing our open hours to day and evening hours. Day passes will be valid from from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm and evening passes from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

We have reduced our individual pricing from 2019 to $23.00 including tax per person, regardless of height. All guests entering the park must pay the admission charge. Children under 36″ are free for 2020.

Go Karts will still be charged separately. The entrance to the Go Karts will be separate from the rest of the amusement park.

Guests who wish to change their reservation may do so up to 24 hours in advance by logging into their account and following the rebooking process there. All reservations are non-refundable.

If we decide to close the park due to weather conditions, we will will notify all guests with existing reservations by email or SMS, and they will be able to book a new day.

You will receive your passes by email. This email will include Terms & Conditions, which you should review. Please save your passes to your phone, and have them ready to scan when you arrive at the park.

FAQ

  • Do I have to book a time in advance?

Yes. For the safety of our guests and staff, we are significantly reducing our capacity to facilitate physical distancing.  In order to manage the number of guests in the park, we are requiring all guests buy online in advance for either a day bracelet, valid from 10:00 to 4:00pm, or evening bracelet, valid from 5:00 to 10:00pm.

  • I am not doing anything, do I have to pay to get in?

In a typical year, Sandspit is a pay-as-you-go park so you only have to pay if you are going on the rides. For 2020, as a result of our capacity and pricing adjustments, we are changing to a general admission park.  We have reduced our individual pricing from 2019 pricing as it is now based on all visitors paying the admission charge.

  • What is included in the Day and Evening bracelet?

Day and Evening Bracelets include unlimited use of all attractions in the park with the exception of the go-karts and old fashioned games for the duration of the bracelet. Day bracelets are only valid from 10:00 to 4:00pm. Evening bracelets are only valid from 5:00 to 10:00pm. All riders are subject to height restrictions.

  • What if I don't have a credit card or debit card to buy online? Can I pay cash?

You will still need to book your passes ahead of time. Please call us at 902-963-3939  and we will make arrangements with you.

  • What if I book a ticket and it rains?

Maritime Fun Group reserves the right to close the park due to weather conditions.  If the decision to close the facility is made prior to the facility opening for the day all guests with existing reservations will be notified by e-mail and SMS and be permitted to rebook.  We will also post up to date information on our social media platforms.

In the event we are forced to close the facility in the middle of the operating day due to extreme weather and that weather persists for more than one hour the park will close for the day and all guests will be automatically issued a return pass for the 2021 season.

  • Can I purchase a weekly or season pass for 2020?

Due to the capacity limitations we have in place and the change in operational days, we are not able to offer weekly or season passes for 2020, nor are able to honor those already purchased. We know this is a disappointment to our weekly and season pass holders and have contacted those guests who have already purchased these passes with some options.
