Safety First! NAARSO Certifications Complete

NAARSO Certification

The National Association of Amusement Ride Safety Officials (NAARSO) held their 32nd Annual Safety Forum in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in January, 2019.

NAARSO is a non-profit organization that provides education and resources to amusement industry safety professionals, and administers a certification program for amusement device inspectors. These Amusement Ride Inspectors represents jurisdictional agencies, insurance companies, private consultants, federal government agencies as well as safety professionals from amusement facilities and travelling shows.

Maritime Fun Group – PEI president Matthew Jelley received the following certifications while at NAARSO:

  • AIMS Mechanic 1
  • NAARSO Operations Level 1
  • NAARSO Inspector 2

Maritime Fun Group certifications ensure that the company can continue to provide a safe experience for all guests. Overall, with safety being a top priority, it is important to stay up to date with industry standards in safety. Maritime Fun Group owns and operates 14 attractions across Prince Edward Island, including Sandspit, Shining Waters Family Fun Park and Mariner's Cove Boardwalk.

This is not an exclusive rental, the facility will be open to other guests.

 

Rounds of laser tag are 7 minutes long, plus a few minutes in the vesting room.

 

If there are other guests in, your rounds will not be consecutive.

 

You can play as many rounds of laser tag as you can in the time allotted, and each package includes a minimum number of laser tag rounds

 

 

You may continue to play past the time to get your minimum number of rounds in. In a situation where you reach the minimum number of rounds, you may continue to play rounds (on your turn) until the time is up.

 

If you have to leave before you play your rounds there are no refunds.
