According to the tribe\u2019s legend, the statues are placed on either side of a doorway leading to a bedroom, and if a woman touches either statue on their way into the room, they will soon conceive.<\/p>\n<p>Ripley\u2019s staff can attest to the legend\u2019s accuracy. The Fertility Statues were on display at the Ripley\u2019s Headquarters in Orlando, Florida, and within 13 months, 13 women who had come in contact with the statues had become pregnant, including 3 staff.<\/p>\n<p>The Fertility Statues were aquired by Ripley\u2019s in 1993, and have since become their most popular exhibits.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve had several phone calls from around the world asking when the statues will be arriving,\u201d says Matthew Jelley, president of Maritime Fun Group -PEI, the group that operates Ripley\u2019s in Cavendish. \u201cWe\u2019ve had a call from a woman who is living in the United States but from the Ivory Coast originally and wanted to see the statues.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ripleys.com\/cavendishbeach\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ripley\u2019s Believe It or Not!
